October 2017 through April 2018

The Motley Shakespeare Players debuted our touring production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It earlier this October. Motley Shakes will be touring this abbreviated production of As You Like It to elementary, middle, and high schools in Staunton and Virginia.

In Shakespeare's comedy, As You Like It, characters venture into the Forest of Arden, where things turn upside down as worlds collide. Full of love triangles, disguises, songs, and motley fools, our hour-long version of this classic play focuses on the joy we find in love and companionship.

You'll see me as a variety of characters: Amiens, a musical lord living in the forest; William, a simple country man in love; and Hymen, the god of marriage.

This 2017-18 season, I will be a player in The Motley Shakespeare Players, the Mary Baldwin Shakespeare and Performance MFA company. Throughout the year, we will produce six productions--As You Like, Doctor Faustus, The Winter's Tale, Pericles, The Knight of the Burning Pestle and a devised piece that draws inspiration from these plays. Along with acting, I will also be working as assistant stage manager, choreographer, and dramaturg on various productions as well as working with the company's educational programming.

July 2017

Throughout July, I will be participating in a summer intensive at the Prague Shakespeare Company. As part of the intensive, I will perform in a staged reading of The Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Ephesus) directed by Paul Prescott and Katherine Steele Brokaw, as well as The Death of Kings: Seize the Crown (Alice/Bastard of Orleans) a conflation of 6 of Shakespeare's history plays, directed by Irwin Appel.
